1913 Vintage Christmas Postcard -- Dissected
Wednesday, December 15, 2010 at 7:03PM Although today's post is a great vintage postcard for the Christmas season, I thought it would be neat to really take a look at the postcard and all its features.
From the very artistic "F" to start things off to the typical stamp with great postmarks to the multiple holly clusters...
to the great pressure applied by the postal clerk or machine that gave us just enough detail to determine everything even against the deep embossing to the simple and typical short Christmas written message.
And here's a closer look at some finer points. From the very small trademark that looks almost like a duck delivering a letter in an old postal column box and the fine antique desk where it all begins.

It's a great postcard anyway, but especially when deconstructed.
I like old post cards. They sell for a good price in E-bay or some do.
You asked what kind of camera I am using. It is a couple of years old but it is a Canon EOS Digital Rebel XSi. If I had the money I would buy the newest one which is an XT1 or XT2 — can't remember the number on the newest model. Mine won't take movies or videos but the new ones do.
